What is My Daily Place?

My Daily Place is a daily journal and a personal memory bank in one. You write the day's entry, capture voice notes, scan a document, or jot a quick thought — and the app attaches location, weather, and time automatically. Everything you capture stays searchable, and an AI reads across your notes to surface threads and patterns you'd otherwise miss.

How is this different from a regular journaling app?

Most journaling apps store what you write. My Daily Place also captures everything in between — voice notes on a walk, scans of receipts or whiteboards, quick thoughts between meetings. Then it lets you search across all of it with natural-language questions, and uses AI to spot patterns and surface action items across your captures over time.

Is my data private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Your entries, voice transcripts, and scanned text are private to you. They are never used for AI training. AI synthesis runs on Claude (Anthropic); only your own captures are sent as context, and Anthropic does not train on API traffic. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which removes all of your data.

Can I use it offline?

Yes. My Daily Place is a Progressive Web App. Entries you capture while offline are queued locally and synced automatically when you're back online. The map and recent entries also stay browsable without a connection.

How does the AI synthesis work?

Accepted Answer

Ask a question across your notes — or open the synthesis surface with no query for a recent-captures overview — and Claude reads the most relevant captures together. It returns a short narrative, a list of themes, a direct recommendation, and any action items it extracted. You can mark action items done from the synthesis screen without deleting the source note.

What happens if I cancel? Can I export my data?

Accepted Answer

Your data is yours. You can export your entries from Settings at any time. If you cancel a paid plan, your account drops to Free — your existing data stays accessible; new captures are subject to the Free tier caps. Account deletion removes all your data.
